Stanley, ND was featured on ABC’s Nightline on Friday, January 18th. Due to the recent oil boom that has hit, all eyes are on Mountrail county. The biggest question is will it help the community or hurt the community in the long run?

Compliments of the Horizons program, residents of Stanley can now take advantage of a mini-library dedicated to Leadership. The mini-library is located at the Mountrail County Extension Office. Books are available to check out during office hours (Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and are geared to teach individuals how to become better leaders.

THE NEW YORK TIMES, SEATTLE TIMES AND MINNEAPOLIS NEWSPAPERS REPORTED TO THE WORLD ABOUT OUR BOOMING AREA. THE OIL INDUSTRY IN THE STATE EXPECTS TO NEED 12,000 NEW WORKERS BY 2010.
